As construction of the Barwon Women’s and Children’s continues to progress, we recently said goodbye to the project’s two tower cranes, affectionately nicknamed “Kym” and “Aunty Athalie” in honour of respected community members Paediatrician Dr Kym Anderson and Traditional Owner and Midwife Athalie Madden.
Their removal marks another important milestone. It also revealed a new perspective of the growing tower on Myers Street, which has reshaped the skyline of the University Hospital Geelong precinct.
